1. Agreement to Terms

By booking a screening or treatment via HWLSalon.com, Calendly, or in-person at our Encino clinic, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These policies maintain our high clinical standards and ensure availability for families in need of urgent care.

2. Deposits & Payment

BOOKING REQUIREMENT Appointment Deposits A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied toward your final service total upon completion of treatment.

Remaining balances are due in full at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and digital payments.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that family emergencies happen; however, our clinicians' time is dedicated to your specific time slot.

The 24-Hour Rule

Cancellations 24+ Hours Before: Your $50 deposit is fully refundable or transferable to a rescheduled date.
Late Cancellations (< 24 Hours): The $50 deposit is forfeited to cover clinical preparation and administrative costs.
No-Shows: Clients who fail to appear for their appointment without notice will be charged the full minimum service fee.

4. The HWL Lice-Free Guarantee

Our signature guarantee ensures your home remains clear. To activate the guarantee, the following clinical requirements must be met:

Full Household Screening: Every member living in the home must be screened by an HWL specialist.
Compliance: The 7-day post-treatment home care protocol must be followed exactly as prescribed.
Follow-up: The recommended professional re-check must be scheduled and attended within the clinical window (usually 5–9 days).

Failure to follow the clinical home-care steps as outlined in our success plan will void all guarantee claims.

5. Home Care Success Plan

To support your family's journey to being lice-free, we provide a detailed clinical checklist. This document covers home cleaning, barrier protection, and daily maintenance required during the 7-day treatment window.

6. Mobile & In-Home Units

For mobile treatments, families must provide a dedicated workspace with high-visibility lighting and proximity to a water source. A travel surcharge may apply for locations outside our primary Encino service radius.

7. Medical Disclaimer

HWL Salon provides professional lice removal; we are not medical doctors. Our enzymatic solutions are non-toxic and pesticide-free.

Allergies & Sensitivities: Please notify your specialist of any plant or essential oil allergies (specifically rosemary or peppermint) prior to application. HWL Salon is not liable for individual skin reactions.

8. Clinic Conduct

To maintain a focused clinical environment, we require that children be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. HWL Salon reserves the right to terminate any session if staff members are subjected to verbal abuse or unsafe conditions.
